How to get copies of the newspaper articles for Cass Co. IN?

If you would like for Lisa to make copies of any of the newspaper articles, she would be glad to do so.  She charges $2.00 for every newspaper article copied. The copies are made from microfilm on a reader copier microfilm machine. Be forewarned, that some of the microfilmed papers are not easy to read. She will do her best to copy a readable copy.

One Article= $2
Two Articles= $4
Three Articles= $6
Four Articles= $8
Five Articles= $10
Every article is $2 to copy.

Please include a self addressed stamped envelope for four or fewer copies. For  five-10 copies please include $1.00 for postage (Lisa will supply a manila envelope). If you request 11 or more please include $1.50 for postage and handling

In your request please list: first and last name, newspaper found in, date of paper, and page/col and what the article is about.

For instance: Benj. Ford, Monticello Herald, 1892, pg 5 col. 2. death notice

When the articles are returned to the requester. Each requested article will include the full citation.

How long does it take Lisa to make copies?

     Usually about one week after she receives a request, however, sometimes it takes longer.  Please email her if you have any other questions.

What if I want to do my own research?

Lisa enjoys doing her own research and understands when others want to do their own research.  If you wish to do your own research most of the film can be interlibrary loaned.   Lisa does not charge for the information about an article date unless she makes the copy.

Please email Lisa with the county and surname and she will email back the full citation so you can research quicker.

Why doesn't Lisa post the full date?

The internet is a wonderful tool for research and for coping information.  Lisa has spent many hours compiling the information in this index.  It is very easy to go to a website and copy everything on it and then claim it as ones own.

Each completed year that has been read in this index has taken Lisa anywhere between four and twelve hours read and index.  Then add more time to type in the information.
